Ben Jackson music

Ben is an exciting young jazz musician based in Manchester, UK. He is a recent graduate from the Royal Northern College of Music under the immense tutelage of Iain Dixon, Rob Buckland, Mike Hall, Andy Scott, and Steve Berry. It was at the RNCM where Ben earned the opportunity to play alongside jazz giants Mike Walker and Nikki Iles, and won the ‘RNCM Principal’s Award for Improvisation’ two years running.

Ben is heavily involved in the Manchester music scene, running his own project with the Ben Jackson Octet which included hosting a live recording session at The Yard. In 2022, he performed at a sold-out Albert Hall show alongside Shed Seven as part of their album release tour. Alongside this, Ben regularly features in original projects with some of Manchester’s most exciting young musicians including Sean Rogan, Lucas Bernard, and The Hara.
